"I first started to look for a house in the summer of 2009, all on my own. I thought that I was computer savvy, and there would be nothing that a realtor knows while I don't. So, I decided not to get a buyer's agent. Then in April of 2010, I found a house in Weymouth that I really liked; I made an offer. Shortly after, I started to panic, wondering if my offer was too high or too low and if there were some conditions about the house that I did not know. I lay wide awake at night, kicking myself. I called friends and asked for their opinions. None was a professional, and everyone had something different to say. I did not feel a bit reassured. I pulled back my offer, one day after I made it.

That was when I decided to get a buyer's agent. A close friend of mine recommended her niece Ms. Nancy McLaughlin, a realtor to me. Right away, I felt relieved. I trusted my friend 100% and I trusted her niece. Nancy helped me dig out houses on the market, and she gave me rides to check out houses ( I did not have a car at the time.) In the process of negotiating with my bank for a mortgage, she was looking out for me as well. There were times when I felt frustrated with the bank; it was she who lifted me up and approached the lender for some critical questions.
